DON'T OPEN TILL XMAS

Every year my sister and I ask my parents what they want for Christmas; sometimes we listen and sometimes we know best. This year they asked for the usual: my mother - perfume, pj's, purse and watch. My dad - gift cards that he hoards for years and never uses. With that in mind we are going with what we think is best, I won't say what it is just yet. However, one that made my mothers list is a new portrait of my sister and I with their grandchildren (my kids). The last one they have of my sister & I was taken around 20+ years ago. Needless to say I look a lot different my sister of course looks the same. In addition we have 2 new peeps in the circle.

As everyone knows I am an amateure photographer and I take tons of pictures of my children and don't really like being photographed myself. But for this I made an exception and hit the timer and ran into the frame.  We didn't get many shots mostly because I was exhausted from running back and forth and trying to keep the kids clean (ok Sophia clean).  Here are the best of the best, I think she'll like them...until another 20 years adios!

The best part of going to Newport Beach during the holidays was hitting up Rogers Gardens Nursery. Peter Ray loves going just to see their O gage Rio Grande train set up.

Over this long holiday break we hit my old stopping grounds the Santa Anita Mall with my mother, it's still a favorite of mine and 3 times bigger then it was when I was growing up.

Last shot of the day with my mother a view of the San Gabriel mountains from the doors of the Nordstroms at the mall. 3 of my favorites places (Mall, Nordstroms and Mountains). It was a blessed day for me!
